The recent acquisition of healthcare specialists Sidhil by Drive DeVilbiss Group looks set to expand product choice and service options for customers right across the UK healthcare market, thanks to planned investment in service centres, products, sales, R&D and UK manufacturing capabilities.
Sidhil’s advanced manufacturing plant in Yorkshire now complements the Group’s existing production facilities at Welland and Leicester as well as the specialised orthotic capability in Tutbury, Staffordshire. Further investment in the latest manufacturing techniques and processes across the Group is targeted to enhance products and services already provided to the wider UK healthcare market.
Existing Drive DeVilbiss and Sidhil customers now have access to one of the most comprehensive product ranges available from any single healthcare provider in the UK. This combined expertise in the design and manufacture of beds, surfaces and respiratory care products alongside assistive technologies, ADLs and more specialised provision in the area of orthotic seating gives customers a single sourcing point for established premium products.
Drive DeVilbiss and Sidhil are working hard to ensure that customers can expect a seamless integration of products and services. Although in the longer term similar products with less popular appeal may eventually be discontinued, the Group will currently continue to offer the full range to the market in order to service customer requirements and preferences.
In addition, Sidhil’s established R&D division, already responsible for the design and development of premium products for the acute and community sectors, will continue a programme of product review and enhancement, looking at standards and compliance across the range to identify new product opportunities to satisfy identified customer requirements.
With immediate effect to optimise customer support, the Sidhil and Drive DeVilbiss sales teams serving the acute and community sectors have been reorganised to form a single, streamlined and cohesive team. These experienced individuals will focus on providing tailored support for hospitals, nursing and residential care homes and community loan stores.
The key objective is to dovetail the complementary skills of the Drive DeVilbiss and Sidhil teams as well as the facilities provided by nationwide network of service centres. Together with the comprehensive portfolio of products, the Group aims to provide the optimum customer experience, in support of the Drive DeVilbiss commitment to improve people’s lives through the products and services manufactured and supplied by the Group.
