Halifax-based healthcare equipment specialists Sidhil have won an export order worth in excess of three quarters of a million pounds for 900 of the company’s high performance three section treatment plinths. Destined for delivery before Christmas, the plinths will be installed in over 300 health clinics throughout Saudi Arabia.
Engineered to cope with the very specific demands of heavier patients, these special bariatric products have been designed and developed by Sidhil’s R&D team at the company’s production plant in Holmfield. The entire order will be manufactured in Halifax by the skilled workforce, working round the clock to meet the delivery deadlines and providing a great boost for local manufacturing.
Part of a Saudi Arabian Ministry of Health project, the order was won by Sidhil against stiff competition from other manufacturers around the world. Export Manager Paul Hampton has been working on the project for over six months. “Winning this significant order underlines the quality of our products and the competitiveness of our manufacturing processes here in West Yorkshire,” he stated.
Sales and Marketing Director Clive Siddall underlines the importance of the order in terms of the company’s growth strategy. “Our success in this arena is the culmination of a real team effort,” he said. “It’s a real boost for our export plans, and justifies our investment in maintaining a presence for UK manufacturing at international trade fairs such as Arab Health.”
Managing Director James Ibbotson is equally enthused. “This order is great news for Sidhil and for all our dedicated employees,” he commented. “We have the infrastructure and skills in place to ensure that we can satisfy this order whilst continuing to meet the demand from our UK customers during what is generally the busiest time of the year for us.”
Sidhil has a policy of sourcing raw materials and other manufacturing components from local companies, so the contract is likely to boost bossiness for other companies in Yorkshire too!
